Indie-pop/ psych-rock group Stem Steller has treated Australian audiences to their soul-warming, ear-wormy tunes since their inception in 2022. The Boorloo/ Perth-based five-piece are closing out 2024 strong with their latest single, a sparkling groover titled Electrical Moves - out 22 November.

From their packed-out headline shows at venues like the Indi Bar (Scarborough), supporting touring acts such as Pasiflorez (NSW), to playing events such as Pollen Festival alongside artists like Pacific Avenue, there is an undeniable appeal to the rich and effortlessly smooth sonic landscapes that Stem Steller create.

With a handful of tracks already out, including 2024 singles Fibreglass Charisma and Little Fighter, which received triple j unearthed airplay and has surpassed 20k streams on Spotify alone, Stem Steller continues to go from strength to strength, crafting delectable tunes, such as their latest Electrical Moves.

Rooted in a solid groove backed by a tight drums and bass rhythm section, Electrical Moves has the goods to get you on your feet and moving. With guitars that roll and crash like waves and synths that drift and float between, the track creates a stunning atmosphere that’s easy to get lost in.

Frontman Bevyn Tarboton explains, “This song aims to capture the raw, vast, and spectacular experience we had when a group of us attended the Wave Rock Music Festival in 2023.” Continuing, “Being in the desert, listening to the creativity in soundscapes paired with the visuals of lighting and landscape, was an inspiring experience that fueled our desire to create a song incorporating those elements, allowing our listeners to access a similar experience sonically.”

Written by vocalist and guitarist Bevyn, with Corban Fewster on lead guitar, David Williams on bass, Dylan Keirnan on synth and guitar, and David Bowra on drums, the release was produced, recorded and mixed at Soak Sounds (Little Guilt, Equals Equals, Solar Juice), and mastered by Ryan Morey (Arcade Fire, Bonobo, Half Moon Run).

You can catch Stem Steller live on the 23 November at the Indian Ocean Hotel, Scarborough. More info at https://linktr.ee/Stemsteller
